Hybrid Tax Cut
A bill that would give hybrid car owners a 15-hundred dollar income tax break is one step closer to becoming law.
While the state said it would cost more than a hundred thousand dollars in income to the state, they said the benefits to the environment outweigh the economic costs.
Tony Bopp says 15- hundred dollars is just the right amount.
"I think it's a decent amount. It's not too small, and its not a great deal where everyone would be going on it," said Bopp. "Somebody says 10 thousand dollars lets do it, 15- hundred dollars is a pretty good amount," said Bopp.
The bill is awaiting final approval in the Missouri State House.
