Imani Center Holds Annual Thanksgiving Dinner
COLUMBIA - The Imani Center on Ash Street in northern Columbia held its 12th annual Thanksgiving dinner Saturday.
Residents from around the area were invited to take part in the free feast in which 600 meals were made.
Imani Center Director Judy Hubbard said the center had been planning the meal for months.
"It's stressful," Hubbard said. "But, it's a good kind of stressful."
Those who could not attend the center for the feast did not have to worry, organizers also provided them food at their homes.
Outreach Director Glenn Cobbins said the Thanksgiving meal delivery is part of his way of giving back.
"The reason this is important to me is because I want to be an example, an agent of change." Cobbins said.
