Interstate in NW Missouri Closed by Cattle Truck Crash
ST. JOSEPH (AP) - A cattle truck overturned on Interstate 29 in northwest Missouri Friday morning, closing the highway and causing a major traffic jam.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the truck overturned early Friday in the northbound lanes of the interstate just south of St. Joseph, near Faucett.
The truck was carrying more than 90 cattle. The patrol says none of the cattle escaped and another truck was being sent to the scene to retrieve the cattle. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The patrol says the cause of the accident has not been determined.
