Jags Pound Jays
The Jays were manhandled from the start as the Jaguars leaped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead. The lead stretched to 21-0 in the second quarter when Jaguars running back Shane Simpson scampered 26 yards to the endzone.
Jefferson City trimmed the lead to 21-7 when quarterback Jordan Coons hooked up with Kevin Norris for a 35 yard touchdown pass. This was the first and last score for the Jays, however, as the Jaguars scored 21 unanswered points to advance to the state finals. Dalton and Tony Randolph both contributed with 2 touchdown runs each in the victory.
