Jefferson City Convention Center and Hotel Design Plans Revealed
JEFFERSON CITY - Two corporations met in city hall Thursday to reveal plans for a new capital convention center and hotel in Jefferson City.
Ehrehardt Hospitality LLC and Farmer Holding Companies are the only remaining corporations in consideration for taking on the project after the St. Louis-based corporation Drury Development Corporation dropped out of the running last week.
The city council will select one of the corporations to oversee the project in one to two months.
The main factor in selecting a corporation comes down to where council members want the location of the convention center and hotel to be.
Ehrehardt Hospitality LLC's proposal would create the building downtown, while Farmer Holding Companies would build it near the Capital Mall.
Both corporations said the building was a great opportunity for Jefferson City and they would be happy regardless of the outcome.
