Jefferson City High School briefly evacuated due to smoke
JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City High School was briefly evacuated Monday after an electrical issue in a maintenance closet created smoke.
The district said students and staff were out of the building for approximately 30 minutes.
One student had an asthma attack due to the smoke. No other injuries were reported.
The school district apologized for a delay in alerting parents and said the damage was minimal.
