Jefferson City Man Arrested for Burglary and Resisting Arrest
A Jefferson City man was arrested yesterday on two counts of theft and two counts of resisting arrest.
Jefferson City Police arrested 24-year-old Wayne Ivory around 11:50 Tuesday night.
After receiving a burglary and theft complaint on Monday police responded to the 1100 block of Buena Vista.
A search for Ivory began after determining that televisions, DVD's, a laptop computer, and various clothing items were stolen.
On Tuesday, Jefferson City Police officers began surveillance on a residence where Ivory was believed to be staying, and was witnessed coming out of the residence a short time later.
Ivory had in his possession several of the items that were stolen and when confronted by officers, he attempted to flee. A foot pursuit ensued, and Ivory was taken into custody by pursuing officers.
He was transported to the Cole County Jail pending charges.
