Jefferson City man arrested for pulling gun on wife
Jefferson City Police say they arrested 25-year-old Pharis Davis over the weekend and charged him with armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, domestic violence of the 2nd degree, and felony receiving stolen property.
Davis is accused of pointing a handgun at his wife's head while threatening to kill her and then beating her with the gun.
Reports say after disabling her cell phone and leaving the apartment, his wife sought refuged at a neighbor's to call the police. The reports go on to say he displayed his gun from his car ordering his wife to get into the car with him.
Police say after a search of a different neighbor's apartment, two guns were found that Davis supposable hid. The victim identified one of the guns was the assault weapon. It was stolen from Popular Bluff. Davis is jailed on $100,000 bond. He was on probation for domestic violence.
