JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City police responded to reports of shots fired around 7:46 p.m. Monday near Argonne and Francis street.
Officers on scene determined the shots were fired near a residence in the 200 block of Argonne. They located spent shell casings near the residence and interviewed a possible suspect.
The suspect, Cenneth Eugene Tucker, a 27-year-old St. Louis resident told officers he lit some firecrackers.
Tucker was arrested for peace disturbance and transported to the Cole County jail pending charges.
