JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City Police Officers responded to a rollover accident at 11:15 a.m. on Friday. A woman traveling northbound on Christy Drive swerved causing another driver traveling southbound to lose control.
The first car then struck the guard rail, rolled over, slid down the guard rail and stopped on the east side of the guard rail on its top. The first driver suffered minor scratches and declined medical attention. The first driver was also wearing her seatbelt.
Also on Friday at 3:15 p.m. a car versus pedestrian accident occurred in the 700 block of E. Miller Street. The vehicle was traveling eastbound. The pedestrian was walking westbound.
The pedestrian recognized the vehicle as his friend's car and decided to play "chicken," with the car. The pedestrian then ran toward the car, which struck the pedestrian, who was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with minor injuries.
