JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City Police say a man was robbed and a good Samaritan's car ended up with a bullet in a tire. The situation started with a robbery near the Capital Mall Wendy's and ended with shots fired at a car near the Red Lobster Monday night.

A police news release says officers were called to the scene say the robbery victim chased after the man near the Red Lobster restaurant. The victim stopped a driver on the street to ask for help and drive to the alleged robber. Police say when the victim got to the Red Lobster parking lot, the alleged robber was with additional people. The driver who had offered to assist the victim decided to leave the scene. That's when someone fired between 2-4 shots, one bullet hit a tire in the car, flattening it.

The suspects left in a dark colored SUV on Country Club Drive. The Jefferson City Police Department says the vehicle may be dark green.
