Jefferson City Public Schools Closing Early Due to Pump Malfunction

JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City Public Schools will be dismissing school early Tuesday due to a a major city water pump malfunctioning and leaving parts of Jefferson City without water. Schools will dismiss three and a half hours early from the time school started. If school started at 8, school will be dismissed at 11:30; if school started at 8:30 dismissal time will be 12; and if school started at 9 school will be dismissed at 12:30. Buses will run regular routes.

Five other schools in Jefferson City also are dismissing early. Helias Catholic and Kirchner State School dismissed at 10. St. Joseph's Cathedral dismissed at 10:30, Immaculate Conception is closing at 11, and St. Peter Interparish school is closing at 12:30.
