Jefferson City SWAT Team Finds Heroin After Executing Search Warrant
JEFFERSON CITY - The Jefferson City Police Department's SWAT Team took two people into custody after they executed a narcotics search warrant Tuesday at a residence in the 1400 block of East Miller Street.
SWAT officers took two residents of the home, a 29-year-old male and a 21-year-old female, after finding a "substantial amount" of heroin. A one-week-old child was also present, and was taken into the custody of the Division of Family Services.
The male was arrested for Felonious Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The female was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Another male was present during the search but was released with no charges pending.
No one was injured in the search warrant.
