COLUMBIA - The University of Missouri celebrated Earth Hour a day early by turning off the lights on the columns and Jesse Hall from 8:30 tp 9:30 p.m.

Earth Hour is a world wide event in which landmarks usually lit at night go dark in order to conserve electricity.

MU decided to observe Earth Hour tonight, instead of Friday, because of spring break.
