COLUMBIA- Boone Hospital Center appointed a new president Tuesday.

Jim Sinek will begin his duties as president of Boone Hospital Center and on August 12. Sinek was previously president and CEO at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Neb.

With more than two decades of previous health care leadership experience, Sinek has served in executive roles at Verde Valley Medical Center in Arizona and at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center, The Finley Hospital and Stewart Memorial Community Hospital, all in Iowa.

"We are excited about the breadth of skills and experience Jim will bring to our organization in serving the mid-Missouri region," says Sandra Van Trease, BJC group president. "He has a proven track record of taking hospitals to even higher levels of performance and we can expect that same focus for Boone and BJC."
