Judge Permanently Reinstates Ellisville Mayor
CLAYTON - Ellisville Mayor Adam Paul has been permanently reinstated to his job.
St. Louis County Judge David Lee Vincent ruled Monday that Paul's due process rights were violated when he was ousted during an impeachment hearing in April. Vincent temporarily reinstated Paul last month, and made the decision permanent on Monday.
Paul was elected mayor of the west St. Louis County town in April 2012 after campaigning against a Wal-Mart project. He was removed after the city council found him guilty of violating the city's charter for allegedly giving employees illegal orders, failing to control council meetings and other concerns.
