Kansas City driver hurt in shooting, with child in backseat
KANSAS CITY (AP) - A motorist was injured in Kansas City after police say someone fired several shots into his vehicle while a 10-month-old child sat in the backseat.
The Kansas City Star reported the motorist drove to the hospital late Sunday after the shooting and underwent surgery for injuries that are not life-threatening. According to a police report, the driver was struck several times in the hand and leg. The child was not injured.
The report said the victim told investigators he was driving around 9:30 p.m. when a red Ford Taurus pulled alongside his vehicle, and someone inside the other car began shooting.
