Officers were called to an apartment complex were residents complained that a man was threatening them with a knife. Police say the suspect ran down the street and threatened a man and his son as they worked on a car. Police say the officer fired after the man threatened him. The name of the victim has not been released. The officer -- who joined the department about a year ago -- was not injured. (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
