KC Expects Record Crowd for SUPCO Justice
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The Kansas City Library is expecting a huge crowd to come hear former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
The Kansas City Star reports that the main library is expecting about 1,200 people to show up for the event Monday evening.
O'Connor is scheduled to talk about her new book, "Out of Order," which details the first woman Supreme Court justice's time on the bench. The event is open to the public, but people who rsvp'd earliest will get in first and be able to sit on the main floor.
Library spokesman Henry Fortunato says if everyone who sent in an rsvp attends, the event will be the largest the library has hosted.
