KC Man Sentenced for Participating in Girl's Death

KANSAS CITY - A Kansas City man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for conspiring to kill a baby by abusing her.
Twenty-three-year-old Allen T. Green pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree murder. The Kansas City Star reports that he admitted to conspiring with the baby's father, Moreno Salinas, to kill Avee Marie Hunter.
Salinas repeatedly threw the girl on the bed, hanged her upside down, shook and flipped her around and squeezed the air out of her lungs.
Avee died April 22, 2010, at Children's Mercy Hospital of head trauma caused by being shaken.
Green told authorities he acted as the lookout each time Salinas abused the baby in attempts to kill her. Salinas is serving a life sentence.
