KANSAS CITY - A crime scene technician for the Kansas City Police Department has died while leaving work.
The Kansas City Star reports that 29-year-old Ying-An (Michael) Chou was exiting the parking lot early Saturday when a speeding vehicle collided with his.
Police said the driver of the second car ran from the scene after the crash. Police later caught that driver.
Chou was pronounced dead at the scene. He had worked at the crime lab for two years. Police said no one else was seriously injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
