KC Police Find Woman Missing Since Break-in
KANSAS CITY (AP) - Kansas City police say one suspect is in custody in a home-invasion robbery earlier this week, and a woman who disappeared following the break-in has been found safe. Detectives began investigating Tuesday after a man reported that two men woke him up, tied him and demanded money.
The man said 21-year-old Alexandra Baker, who lived in the house, was missing and may have been abducted. Police said Baker was found safe by a motorist walking along a street in northern Kansas City on Wednesday morning.
Hours later, police went to a North Kansas City motel on a tip the two suspects were inside. One man was arrested at the scene, and the search for the other continued Wednesday night.
