KCMO Students to Participate in NY Arts Fieldtrip
KANSAS CITY - Students from a Kansas City secondary
school dedicated to the arts will travel to New York City this month.
It's all part of annual educational tour that will give a group of seniors the chance to do everything from take classes at the Alvin Ailey Dance Studio to participate in workshops at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
The students from the Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts will be gone from April 19-23.
During the trip, students also will visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Schomburg Library in Harlem, Good Morning America and Lincoln Center.
Plus, they'll meet a costume designer, a fashion designer and an MTV producer.
The district says the trip is sponsored by the Paseo Academy Theatre and Costume Design program.
