Keep Columbia Safe to Hold Forum on 911/Emergency Tax
COLUMBIA - Keep Columbia Safe will host a safety forum Monday night.
Boone County Sheriff Dwayne Carey and the Boone County Chairman of the Public Safety Joint Communications Committee will discuss how the 9-1-1 tax would be used to help the community's safety.
If the tax is approved on the ballot April 2, it would increase sales tax by 3/8 cent to support emergency services.
They are holding the forum at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
