Lady Vikings Volleyball Drops Conference Matchup to Baker

MARSHALL, MO -- The Missouri Valley Lady Viking volleyball team was knocked off by Baker University in Heart of America Athletic Conference action Tuesday night at home in three games. The Lady Viking volleyball team was down early, and fought back in the third game, but was defeated by Baker in a 16-25, 14-25, 21-25 match at the Burns Athletics Center.

Junior Outside Hitter Ana Calito finished with nine kills and 12 digs, while Junior Opposite Courtney Wallace had seven kills and one block. Also, Senior Libero Jessica Gates finished with 25 digs, and Junior Setter Tarrah Sweet had 24 assists.

The loss drops the Lady Vikings to 8-10 overall, and 1-4 in HAAC play. Baker improves to 13-9 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.  The Lady Vikings have a week off until their next match, a road conference match up with Central Methodist University Tuesday October 9 at 7 p.m. in Fayette, Missouri.
