Lebanon man charged after allegedly abducting, attacking woman
LEBANON (AP) - A southwestern Missouri man was accused of abducting a convenience store clerk at knifepoint, forcing her to drive to a secluded area and sexually attacking her.
The Springfield News-Leader reported 35-year-old Justin Ockerman of Lebanon was charged with rape, kidnapping, sodomy and armed criminal action.
Authorities alleged after the Lebanon store clerk refused to give Ockerman a ride home, he abducted her and attacked her a few miles away.
Police said the woman was able to escape. Investigators used the store's surveillance video to identify Ockerman as the suspect. Police said the store clerk later identified Ockerman out of a photo lineup.
Online court records did not show whether Ockerman had an attorney to speak on his behalf.
