Legislature Veto Session Begins Wednesday
JEFFERSON CITY - The Missouri legislature's 2012 veto session begins Wednesday at the state capitol. As you may remember back in July, one of the bills Governor Nixon vetoed would have had a huge impact on women. That bill, SB-749 would have made it possible for any employer or health care provider to refuse coverage for contraception, abortion or sterilization.
Some lawmakers said that they hope to override this bill by a two-thirds majority. The meeting will take place around noon on Wednesday.
