Lightning strike could have caused fire on Westminster campus
FULTON - Fire officials say lightning is the only thing that could not be ruled out as the cause of a fire at Reeves Library on Westminster College campus Tuesday morning.
Fire crews found light smoke in the building and located fuming insulation in the attic.
They were able to put out the fire within minutes after arrival, but the building had fire and smoke damage estimated at $50,000.
No one was hurt and all occupants were out of the building before firefighters arrived on the scene.
