BENTON COUNTY - Michael Popp, 48, of Lincoln, Mo. died after a vehicle drove into his path as he was driving on Route F near Chat Avenue at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday. According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Amanda Yoder's vehicle was making a left turn when Popp's vehicle struck it.

The highway patrol said Popp was ejected from his vehicle on impact, and a coroner pronounced him dead at the scene of the crash. Popp was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and Yoder was not. The highway patrol also said Yoder refused treatment at the scene.
