Little Rock Man Suspect in Fatal Branson Stabbing
SPRINGFIELD (AP) - Branson police are seeking a second-degree murder charge against a man from Little Rock, Ark., in a stabbing death last month at a Branson motel. The unnamed suspect is in jail in Boone County in northwest Arkansas on unrelated charges. Branson police chief Caroll McCullough said his investigators had compiled enough evidence to send to the Taney County prosecutor today. Police are seeking charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. The victim was 48-year-old Dewayne Anthony Lynn of Harrison, Ark. He died of a stab wound to his shoulder that severed a main artery. Lynn's death was the first killing this year in the resort town and only the third since 2000.
