Live Ammo Hampers Firefighting Effort
CAPE GIRARDEAU - The fire was bad enough, but firefighters battling a blaze at a southeast Missouri house also had to deal with the popping of live ammunition.
KFVS-TV reports that fire broke out Tuesday in Cape Girardeau County. Siding was burning, along with a truck behind the home. The truck had ammunition inside that kept going off as firefighters battled the blaze.
The home did not suffer significant damage. An investigation continues into the cause of the fire.
