COLUMBIA - A group of Stephens College Seniors raided money for "The Hunger Project" on November 14.
The students hosted the benefit to help out the underfed in third world countries. The money raised in Columbia will directly go to Ghana.
This year's theme was "Walk a Mile in their Shoes," and walkers were encouraged to participate in the event barefoot.
In addition to feeding the hungry, the money will benefit Africans in other ways.
"The money will be put into programs to purify their own water, and how to plant their own crops, as well as safe sex practices to help the community," said Erin Hanson, a Stephens College senior.
