COLUMBIA- The national price of gas fell to around $3.40 per gallon on Tuesday, but that doesn't mean more traffic on the road.
Americans are spending $200 million less per day at the pump than two months ago, when gas was nearly four dollars a gallon. That averages to about 5 percent less gasoline than last year.
Columbia driver Brady Aton said, "I drive an hour round trip everyday so I am constantly checking for the cheapest gas prices, but I must admit I don't drive any more than I usually do because of the price drop."
