LU Track Teams Remain the MIAA's Highest-Ranked Programs

JEFFERSON CITY -- Lincoln's track & field teams continue to be the highest-ranked programs in the MIAA, as the LU women are the No. 2 team in the country and the Blue Tiger men are No. 6 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Division II national poll.

Grand Canyon leads the women's rankings by just over 20 points, earning 244.84 points compared to 224.13 for the Blue Tigers.Lincoln is ranked ahead of both No. 14 Central Missouri and No. 19 Pittsburg State.

The Blue Tigers are also the top-ranked MIAA team in the men's poll, standing just outside the top five at sixth with 120.27 points.

Both of Lincoln's track & field teams will be in action next week, as the Blue Tigers will compete at the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three-day meet will be hosted by Fort Hays State University from April 3-5.
