Madison Students Mourn Classmate
Some teachers were shocked at the fatal shooting of the 17-year-old, and several of his friends left school early.
Bennet would have been a junior, but teachers said he dropped out of school last year to work.
He and his twin sister, Heather, were in the same class. The school made a banner to remember Isaac, and former classmates wrote messages to say goodbye to him. Teachers remembered him as a prankster but a good kid who grew up in the small community.
"When things came down to push or shove, he was the kind of person that stood up for what he believed in," said Shannon Green-Kingery. "I guess that's what would stand out in my mind, and he was a good- hearted kid. He wasn't an angel, but he was a very good-hearted kid."
Bennett's best friend said Isaac was going into the military. The friend also said Bennett loved the outdoors and loved to ride horses.
