Man Accused of Cheating Relatives Out of Thousands Still at Large
BOONE COUNTY - A man suspected of cheating his elderly relatives out of thousands of dollars was still at large Tuesday.
Authorities are asking for help locating Farrel Pride, 44, who was charged in January with financial exploitation of the elderly.
Officials said Pride, of the Sturgeon area, is suspected of cheating his elderly relatives out of $109,000. The couple, one of whom is terminally ill, live in Colorado and contacted Boone County Sheriff's detectives in April 2013.
Officers said the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney issued a warrant for Pride on Jan. 3 after a lengthy investigation.
Pride is known to have relatives in Illinois and the northwestern United States.
Deputies have two photos of Pride they're sharing to help the public in trying to locate him. In the first, Pride has a long beard. In the second, he is clean shaven as seen in the images section of this story.
Anyone with information about Pride's whereabouts is urged to immediately call 911 or contact CrimeStoppers at 573-875-TIPS. CrimeStoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Pride. All calls are confidential and you don't have to give your name to collect a reward.
