Man arrested, charged with threatening people with handgun
HARRISBURG – The Boone County Sherriff’s Department arrested a man Sunday evening after he allegedly flashed a handgun to a group of people.
Deputies arrested 33-year-old Jacob Andrews of Harrisburg after responding to a traffic complaint around 4 p.m. on the 100 block of Sexton Street.
According to the department, Andrews confronted the group of people whose driving he was complaining about. During the confrontation, Andrews displayed a handgun to the group in an angry and threatening manner.
Andrews was arrested and charged for the unlawful use of a weapon and is currently being held on a $4,500 bond.
