Man arrested with outstanding warrants in three counties
FULTON - Police arrested a man during a traffic stop Thursday night after reportedly finding drugs and learning the driver had numerous outstanding warrants
Officers pulled over Mathew Hoppe, 43, for not stopping at a stop sign. During the stop, Hoppe allegedly gave a fake name, birth date and social security number.
Police then reported finding methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and several other items consistent with the sales of narcotics in his car. Once they discovered Hoppe's real name they found out he had outstanding warrants in Boone, Cole and Cooper Counties.
Hoppe was arrested and faces charges of distribution of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, driving while revoked, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
