Man Charged St. Louis County Credit Union Robbery
ST. LOUIS (AP) - A suburban St. Louis man is accused of robbing a credit union, and he's also facing drug charges.
St. Louis County authorities say 30-year-old Edward Starns of Arnold was charged Saturday with second-degree robbery and possession of controlled substance. He is jailed on $100,000 cash-only bond.
Starns is accused of robbing the First Missouri Credit Union in south St. Louis County on Wednesday. He was arrested two days later in a motel room. Police say they also found what is believed to be heroin in the room.
