Man Dies in Moniteau County Crash

MONITEAU COUNTY - 22-year-old Gregory Roberds of Russellville, Mo. died after his vehicle crossed over the center line and into oncoming traffic on Missouri 87 north of Route F. The accident happened as Roberds was travelling in the southbound lane at approximately 5:15 p.m. Sunday. According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Roberds vehicle then caught fire.
The highway patrol said a Moniteau County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene of the crash. Roberds was also not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
