KANSAS CITY - A St. Louis man has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for the death of a bank security guard.
Prosecutors say 25-year-old Thirplus Moose was sentenced for his role in the death of 70-year-old Dwight Mayhugh Sr.
Moose pleaded guilty last November to participating in two bank robberies at a United Missouri Bank branch in Kansas City in 2006. Mayhugh was shot during the second robbery attempt and died the next day at a hospital.
Iralee French Jr. of Kansas City was sentenced to 87 years in federal prison without parole in the same case.
