Man Killed in Camden County Crash Identified
CAMDEN COUNTY - The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released the name of a man killed in a car crash over the weekend in Camden County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 55-year-old Patrick Rayburn was killed Saturday when he tried to avoid a car that crossed the centerline but struck it head-on.
Officials said Rayburn's car rolled and caught on fire.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. Saturday on Route MM east of Chimney Point Road.
According to authorities, Rayburn was pronounced dead at the scene. There was one passenger in Rayburn's car, 20-year-old Tracy McMahan. Officials said he was airlifted to University Hospital. His condition was unknown Monday morning.
Officials said the driver of the other car, 25-year-old Benjamin Kasper, was airlifted to University Hospital in serious condition. One passenger in his car, 27-year-old Ashley Staab, was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. Authorities said she was in moderate condition.
