Man pleads guilty to Columbia murder charges
COLUMBIA - A Columbia man, Jimiah Lambert, pleaded guilty Monday to murder charges stemming from the January murder of Dontay Tolston, 23.
Tolston was found on the floor of a home on Newton Drive with a gunshot wound on Jan. 2. He later died at the hospital on Jan. 3.
Officials said the United States Marshals Service arrested Lambert March 6, 2014 in New Orleans.
Two other suspects were also arrested in connection to the case. The Columbia Police Department arrested 21-year-old Martrell Smith in Columbia in early January. Boone County officials also brought 17-year-old Derrick Copelin back from New Orleans in January.
