Man pleads guilty to sodomy a day before his trial date
COLUMBIA - A man pleaded guilty in a Boone County court Tuesday to sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy in 2013.
Dwayne Robison's original trial date was set for Wednesday, but he pleaded guilty to four counts of statutory sodomy in court Tuesday.
A judge sentenced Robison to 15 years in prison.
Columbia police arrested Robison Aug. 28, 2013, after police said he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy he met at Columbia's Wabash Bus Station.
Police said Robison started talking to the boy at the bus station Aug. 24, 2013, and they both got on a bus together.
Police said Robison and the boy got off at the same stop near Broadway and Hinkson Creek and went to Robison's homeless camp. According to police, Robison sexually assaulted the boy inside a tent at the camp.
At the time of the sexual assault, Robison was a registered sex offender from Nevada.
