Man slides on pavement, injures two in police pursuit
JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City Police attempted to serve 23-year-old Cody Redmon with drug-related warrants Tuesday when Redmon crashed his vehicle into the rear of another vehicle.
Police said Redmon slid on wet pavement and lost control of a 1999 Ford Escort, rear ending 23-year-old Justin Vanderfeltz and a passenger.
Vanderfeltz was stopped at the intersection of 7 Hills Road and Green Berry Road in a 1997 Toyota Tacoma. Vanderfeltz and a passenger suffered minor injuries.
In addition to previous drug-related charges, Redmon could face charges for resisting arrest, assault and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Redmon was not injured in the crash. He is being held at the Cole County Detention Center.
