The bill would enable many people with disabilities to go back to work. Many of them were forced to quit in 2004 because of cuts to the Medicaid program.
"The rally is a coalition of disabilities groups geared at letting the legislators know if there's no MAWD in September, you're leaving in November," said Craig Henning with the Disabilities Resources Association.
Participants also said they want the amount of money Medicaid recipients receive to be above the federal poverty level.
