Mesa Air Arrives in Columbia
Mesa will offer 12 non-stop round trips to St. Louis and Kansas City each week.
"It's really about the fact that we're going to link Columbia to the two major populations bases of Missouri," said Mesa Air's Mickey Bowman. "There's going to be whole lot of individuals who will benefit from that."
Bowman also hinted at lower ticket prices, but gave no specifics.
Mesa hopes to be up and running by September. The airline will provide service for two years with a federal subsidy of $600,000.
