Mid-term Elections Heat Up Internet Use
COLUMBIA - The 2010 mid-term election have increased U.S. internet traffic by up to 10% above normal levels.
According to Akamai, (a web service that delivers about 20% of the worlds internet traffic on it's servers), the global page views per minute peaked at 5 o'clock election night with 5,660,658 page views per minute. This is more than when the U.S. beat Algeria in the world cup and when Barack Obama was elected president.
