Missing Missouri girl found in New Mexico, Amber Alert cancelled
CLINTON - A missing 13-year-old Missouri girl has been found near Albuqueque, New Mexico, in the company of a 55-year-old man named as a suspect in her Amber Alert.
Hannah Sue Kennish and Raymond C. Vallia were found during a traffic stop after officers recognized his pick-up truck based on a description provided in an Amber Alert, according to Sgt. Chad Pierce of the New Mexico State Police.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office issued the Amber Alert Monday afternoon, saying Kennish went missing some time between 3:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday Mar. 29 from Montrose, in west-central Missouri, southeast of Kansas City. According to NBC affiliate KSHB, she and Vallia had been communicating on social media and Vallia drove to Missouri to pick her up.
New Mexico State Police officers took Vallia into custory for police questioning. Kennish was put in protective custody and the alert cancelled. According to KSHB, Kennish could be returned to her family Monday night.
