ST. PETERS, Mo. - A teenager from St. Peters is back with her family after being missing for nine days, and authorities say the convicted sex offender she was with may face charges.
Sixteen-year-old Molly Linhardt was found safe Wednesday in Monroe County, Mo. Authorities say she was with a 27-year-old man who was convicted of statutory rape after having sex with a 12-year-old girl in 2002, when he was 17.
Authorities say a relative of the man contacted the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. He was taken into custody, then released. Police say he may be charged.
Linhardt disappeared Jan. 14 after her father took her to her job at a fast-food restaurant.
